Doug Schlepp, PE
Principal

Doug specializes in municipal planning, design, and project management. His early career was spent with an underground utility contractor, so he is an expert at identifying solutions for potential construction challenges, design deficiencies, high-risk conditions, and difficult administrative disputes. Serving as a District Engineer for the NE Sammamish Sewer and Water District, he has successfully designed and/or managed many of the more demanding projects constructed. At the same time, for more than 23 years, Doug has worked within Issaquah City Hall, implementing two Master Planned Communities as well as other city-wide projects. In this role, he is responsible for making sure that every development meets Issaquah standards, goals, and values. Through his efforts, Doug was recognized by the Issaquah Public Works Engineering Department for Employee Appreciation – the only time that award has been given to a consultant. For over a decade Doug has served the Pacific Northwest Section of the American Water Works Association as the Chair of the Distribution Committee, Vice-Chair of the Subsection Advisory Council, and President of the King County Subsection. Promoting the essential need for safe, clean drinking water, he has worked to disseminate relevant technical education for the design and operation of potable water systems.
