Erik Howe, PE
Director

As a Director at RH2 and leader of the firm’s Transportation Group, Erik Howe has nearly three decades of experience helping communities move more safely, efficiently, and sustainably. From roadway reconstructions and roundabouts to complex infrastructure upgrades, Erik’s work is grounded in a simple goal: to improve the quality of life for the people who use the spaces RH2 helps shape.
Since joining RH2 in 2006, Erik has combined his technical strength with a deep commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement. He began his career at WSDOT and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. While transportation engineering remains his specialty, Erik’s curiosity and leadership have driven him to explore all facets of municipal engineering, often bridging systems like stormwater, utilities, and public engagement in his projects.
Erik’s approach to leadership is people-first. Inspired by mentors who modeled humility, clarity, and thoughtful problem-solving, he works to carry that culture forward:
“One of the most enjoyable parts of what we do is making things better and always learning and improving. For those of us behind the scenes, we are proud to have our fingerprints on these monuments that are improving our communities.”
Based in East Wenatchee, Erik enjoys exploring the valley with family and friends—often finding inspiration and perspective in the natural beauty that surrounds him.
