We’re excited to announce that Erik Howe, PE, has been promoted to Director at RH2!

Based in our East Wenatchee office, Erik has been a core part of RH2’s leadership for nearly two decades. In addition to guiding our Transportation Group and leading complex, community-focused projects, Erik is widely known for the way he builds relationships with clients, colleagues, and others in the engineering industry.

His promotion to Director reflects not only his technical strength and project experience but also the steady leadership, mentorship, and integrity he brings to every interaction. Erik is passionate about continually improving systems, building teams, and supporting the communities where we live and work. When asked what this next chapter means to him, Erik shared:

“This role is both an honor and a responsibility. I see it as an opportunity to serve everyone at RH2 and contribute to the growth and success of our company and our people. I want to continue shaping the kind of culture, collaboration, and quality that make our work meaningful and fulfilling—for both our staff and our clients.”

Erik joined RH2 in 2006 after starting his career at WSDOT and has since helped shape our municipal transportation services across Washington and Oregon. And when thinking about what’s guided him along the way, Erik recognized the people and perspectives that shaped his approach:

“Two mentors who immediately come to mind are Ryan Peterson and Geoff Dillard. Ryan’s thoughtful, principled engineering and Geoff’s ability to clearly communicate complex ideas have both influenced how I engage with clients and colleagues today.”

Outside the office, Erik can often be found enjoying the Wenatchee Valley with family and friends, biking, hiking, and test driving some of the new transportation improvements in the area.
