As Principal and Office Manager of RH2’s Bellingham branch, Bret combines diverse technical expertise with a leadership style focused on mentorship and collaboration. He has guided the office’s growth by fostering a culture of accountability and client service, helping strengthen RH2’s role as a trusted partner for municipalities across the region.

Bret’s background in construction and civil engineering informs his approach to design. He anticipates challenges, evaluates solutions, and delivers infrastructure improvements that balance performance, constructability, and community needs. His work spans water, sewer, stormwater, and multimodal transportation projects, with a focus on extending the life of systems while meeting modern standards.

Equally committed to developing the next generation of engineers, Bret prioritizes creating opportunities for staff growth and team success. Outside of work, he enjoys DIY home projects where he applies the same problem-solving mindset that drives his professional practice.
