Project Description
RH2 supported targeted upgrades to North City Water District’s 3.7-million-gallon reservoir to extend service life, improve water quality, and accommodate expanding cellular infrastructure at a prominent hillside site. Rising more than 100 feet above the surrounding area, the reservoir serves as a critical location for multiple cellular carriers, requiring uninterrupted service throughout construction.
Project improvements included expanded roof space and improved access for cellular equipment, new interior and exterior coatings, a tank mixer to enhance water quality, additional vents, and a dedicated water sampling station. Legacy interior coatings containing lead and chromium were addressed through a regulated lead abatement process. RH2 coordinated closely with multiple carriers and developed phased construction and bid strategies that maintained continuous service, managed costs transparently, and supported both current operations and future site upgrades.
