Telegraph Road Multimodal Safety Improvements

RH2 provided full design, permitting, and environmental services for the City of Bellingham’s federally funded Telegraph Road Multimodal Improvements project. Our team upgraded 3,700 feet of two lane roadway to a complete three-lane urban arterial with bike lanes, ADA-compliant sidewalks, stormwater facilities, and signalized intersections.

The project improved safety and connectivity along a developing corridor served by Whatcom Transit Authority's Gold GO Line. RH2 managed NEPA/SEPA documentation, critical areas reporting, wetland mitigation, a Biological Assessment (BA), and coordination with WSDOT Local Programs. This project highlights our team’s ability to deliver multimodal solutions in constrained urban settings to federal standards.
