Project Description
RH2 provided design services for the City of Boise’s Whitewater Lift Station, a key infrastructure improvement supporting downtown revitalization and establishment of the Whitewater Sub-Basin Sewer Area. The 30-foot-deep wet well and triplex lift station serve approximately 118 acres of redeveloping land near the Boise River.
Delivered using a CM/GC alternative delivery method, the project was fast-tracked to align with adjacent construction and existing dewatering efforts. Challenging groundwater conditions, which were encountered just 8 feet below ground surface, required careful design of deep structures with anti-buoyancy measures to ensure long-term stability. The facility includes on-site emergency power, safety grating, and cable trenches, with all critical components elevated above the flood zone. Designed to convey flows of approximately 1,200 gpm, the lift station provides reliable service while accommodating long-term growth in the area.
